In September 2020 there is not A. plan. We find ourselves in the time in which Plan B. is our only legitimate option. So too with Artless. We have a tradition of proudly exhibiting the student work from the past year in an end of the year exhibition. Sometimes this takes place in the Artless space and sometimes in a another venue in the city. It’s purpose is not only to make this work available to friends, family and curious outsiders but perhaps more importantly to give the students the experience of seeing their work in a new, unfamiliar context. Hopefully giving them more insight into their work methods and expectations about how their work is seen by the unknowing eye. Unfortunately this is not possible this Covid-19 year. This modest online presentation of selected work from some of our students is what we can do. Remembering and reminding us all the time that what you see is just a digital “illustration” of what actually exists somewhere in real space and time.
